MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 27, 2008

Members Present: Paul Challenger, Al Berg, Peter Lacy, Jim Dunn, Maria Dell'Ovo, Rick Bates, Bob Ripley, Glenn Gaudette, Marilynn Foley
Also Present: Brian Bullock, Town Manager
The meeting was called to order at 7:05. This meeting is the annual presentation on the Resource Profile by the Town Manager.
The Town Manager reviewed the F/Y 09 Budget Message and the Resource Profile with the Finance Committee and answered questions from the Committee.
The Committee discussed the March 10, 2008 Town Meeting Warrant Article for repairing the Mountview tennis courts. The Committee will meet at 6:00 on March 5 for further discussion.
The Committee discussed the deficit in the F/Y 08 DPW Snow Removal Budget. A motion by Marilynn 2nd by Al to approve continued deficit spending in the Snow Removal Budget according to Mass. State Law Chapter 44, Section 31 D was voted 8-1 (opposed Jim). A motion by Paul 2nd by Glenn to ask the Town Manager and DPW Director to send detailed by-weekly up to date snow removal spending reports to the Finance Committee was voted 7-2 (opposed Maria, Marilynn).
A motion by Paul 2nd by Maria to support the Veterans' benefits Article at the March 10 Special Town Meeting was voted unanimously.

Public Works: Jim, Glenn
Public Safety: Rick, Bob
Growth Management: Maria, Marilynn
Education: Al
On a motion by Rick 2nd by Glenn, the minutes of December 12, 2007 were voted unanimously (abstained Peter, Maria, Marilynn).
On a motion by Jim 2nd by Peter the minutes of January 23, 2008 were voted unanimously as amended (abstained Glenn).
The meeting adjourned at 9:45.
